Improved Internet Browsers

This year Microsoft released Internet Explorer 8. Generally speaking, Internet Explorer was usually regarded as an incompatible browser, which was making the life of Web developers a lot harder. Since Internet Explorer 8 was released it seems that Microsoft addressed some of the problems of previous versions. So is Internet Explorer 8 able to compete with Firefox? It is hard to say, but it seems that Microsoft is starting to go in the right direction. Microsoft is very proud that Internet Explorer supports the industry-standard versions of the code that tells browsers what Web pages should look like. Until now Microsoft held other browsers back by not following open Internet standards, so I am happy to hear that there are some changes being made.
