Organize an Experimental Blog Auction

Did you ever consider organizing your own experiment? Some time ago, I noticed that a blogger organized an interesting experiment. The experiment that I have in mind is very original, and it might have been the first one of this type in the entire blogosphere. Let me write a few words about it. The blogger published a post entitled “Experimental Blog Auction”. The title of his post gave me the impression that he thought about selling his blog and I was right. Although he was not really sure about selling it, his experiment drew my attention. He basically called the entire blogosphere to bid on his blog as if it was on sale, whereas in reality he decided not to sell it after all. This was a good way for him to check the worth of his blog, and the results of this experiment probably helped him make up his mind whether he should sell his blog or not. Another advantage of organizing such an auction is that it might attract a lot of traffic. If you like the above idea, you may want to organize such an auction on your own. You may set the starting bid at $50, and inform your visitors to make their offer by adding at least $5 to the highest bid. It might be interesting to see the results of this experiment.
