As every other employee out there, I need a little motivation in order to work. What empowers me as an employee? I discovered that I like to be given new responsibilities from time to time. They make me feel important and they make me more engaged in any project I am assigned to. I like it when my boss gives me tasks that make me feel important. Some time ago, I participated in an Employee Survey. The survey did not take that long, but it allowed me and my employer to learn many new things about one another. I know dozens of people who are not motivated to work. Some of my family members or friends are not motivated enough to make sure that they do their best when they are at work. They wake up each morning, go to work, drink their morning cup of joe for hours, but they do not do their best to make sure that they work efficiently. I short, they do not care about anything or anybody. I believe that such approach can hurt any company. Employee empowerment can help each boss make sure that his employees use their skills to full potential and work the best they can.
