Unique Search Engines

Google is the most popular search engine; however, there are many other search engines available. One of them is SlashMySearch that claims that its services are designed to provide everybody with accurate browser results quickly and effectively. They browse through results from Yahoo, AltaVista, Excite, Google, as well as their own database, and several other sources. There is another feature about this particular search engine that I find attractive and innovative. It is called eBay Typo. I have heard about misspelled eBay auctions long time ago. I also heard how some people are making money by buying items from auctions where the name of the product is not spelled correctly. If the name of the product is not spelled correctly, it results in fewer people bidding on an item. Later, buyers of such items are able to resell them and make a profit out of it. SlashMySearch assures that while browsing through eBay auctions we will also be able to get results from those misspelled auctions, and thus you might save some money buying various products. To take advantage out of this interesting feature you might want to set SlashMySearch as your homepage. The search engine that I have presented here is just an example of free search engines that try to compete with Google. In reality, there are dozens of other interesting search engines, and I might present some of them on this blog in the future.
